Temple of Scintillating Sights 2017
Once in a while I get completely engorged in the flow state. Creating “Temple of Scintillating Sights” was such an experience.
During my morning meditation, this vision came to the forefront of my consciousness, some sort of ancient Egyptian Goddess, perhaps a variation of Isis with fractalized limbs, playing with light and creating impossible objects with powerful guttural words of power that seemed almost primordial in the sense that they transcended all ideas of time and space. There was a profound sense of witnessing physical manifestation through the use of vibration and frequency.
Soon After I sat down and started trying to capture its essence in a frenzy. The image took about 8 hours to complete over a period of 32 hours.
During that period I was also reading several books on Kemetan wisdom and Ancient Egypt, namely The Sirius Mystery and Metu Neter. Both books have a direct influence on my inspiration for this piece, especially Metu Neter which is a profoundly deep dive into Ancient Kemetan traditions, the origins of humanity and its various religions. The book ties together the peoples of ancient Egypt and the Dravidian Hindu cultures of Southern India. Looking back, It seems I subconsciously fused elements of both cultures together to create this piece.
Interestingly, when I shared this image with a few of my friends several of them were slightly shocked as they had seen a very similar vision in their dreams the previous night.
I created this image with Photoshop, Painter, Cinema 4D, Zbrush and Incendia
