Caelestis Lupus
Narrative
The first digital work of 2022 started off as the 27th page of the Universal Transmissions Codex. I had just finished on the previous couple of pages and
had sat down on 27, when my older son Ates, now 6 years old sat down with me, as he always does when I sketch in my notepad, draw or paint or when I
sit in front of the computer to design. He asked me what I was working on and I told him “The Strange Book” and he immediately suggested that the new page should be
of a wolf. This was interesting as I had a wolf/fox image that I had abandoned, or left half done, and he suggested that we use it.
So we preceded to work together on what is now “Caelestis Lupus” and the 27th page of the Universal Transmissions Codex. Many ideas and elements in this piece are his ideas and suggestions as well as some of the encoded texts within the image.
This was a peak bliss experience for both of us. It was such an amazing feeling to work on art together with my son, as he grows and dives deeper into his imagination and feeds his creativity with playful practice. It is a true honor to continue a family tradition to foster the love of art in my children just as my parents did with me.
